Where is she from ?

Castor oil, also called castor oil , comes from Ricinus communis, a shrub of the Euphorbiaceae family. It has its origins in tropical Africa, the castor can reach ten meters in tropical regions. Its fruit is covered with green or red prickles depending on the maturity. As it ripens, the shell reveals several oil-rich seeds. Its name comes from the Latin "Ricinus" which means tick and which was attributed to it because of the resemblance of its seeds to this insect.

The castor bean from the plant of the same name is not eaten, the only oil that is extracted from it is not toxic and this, for our greatest happiness!
