The hibiscus is a shrub of the malvaceae family, also called "guinea sorrel". Rich in vitamin C, hibiscus infusion (under the name of bissap or karkadet , depending on the region) with its tangy flavor, very refreshing and comforting . It can be eaten both hot and cold . The hibiscus flower is also often used dried to prepare infusions, jellies, compotes or sweet and savory dishes.
